In the first edition of Arizona Future Stars, we're taking a look at Valley Christian High School sophomore Jamison Ping!
In his first high school race last year, Ping came out swinging at the Fountain Hills Invitational. The then-freshman ran 16:51.43 and placed fourth overall.
Ping followed up that performance by running 16:24 at Desert Twilight, before breaking 16 minutes at The City of Chandler Cross Country Championships when he crossed the finish line at 15:56.3.
At the AIA State Championships, Ping placed second overall in the Division IV race at 16:31.20.
