5k-15:50 and 3 mile-15:25

 

What are your goals for the upcoming season:

My goals for the season are, to place no less than 3rd at the state meet, and also to get my 5k down to 15:00

 

 

How is your summer training going?   Your favorite workout?  What kind of summer mileage do you run?

My summer training went pretty well, considering I was coming off an injury from track, my favorite workout would have to be long hill runs!! My summer mileage went awesome! I averaged around 65-70 miles a week.


 

How long have you been running and how did you get started:

I’ve been running ever since I was a little kid,  I started running when  I was about 9 years old, I got into by seeing my dad compete in local road races and that inspired me to start running , and I’ve been running ever since.


 

Will you be competing out of State this season?  If so, when and where?

No, I won’t be competing out of state this season.


 

What are your favorite courses and the toughest courses to run in State and out of State.

My favorite course, I would have to say would be the state meet course I like because it’s a bit challenging and fun to run on. The toughest course I’ve raced on, is the state course, but it’s also my favorite, it’s a love-hate thing

 

So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?

My favorite cross country memory was my junior year when I finally broke the 16 minute barrier for a 5k and I pr’d as well!


 

When you are not running what do you like to do?

When im not running I enjoy hiking, hanging out with friends,

 

Do you cross train (lift, swim, bike etc)?

Yes, I do a few different cross trains, I swim, bike, lift weights, and in- line skate. I cross train 4 times a week.

 

Do you think you would like to run competitively after high school?

Yes I plan on running competitively in cross country after high school.

 

What were your favorite Olympic sports and did they inspire you in any way?

My favorites are track and field and swimming, I particularly like watching the 5k, 10k, and marathon during the Olympic Games, and they inspired me to be a better runner.
