What are your goals for the upcoming season:

To tear it up and have a fun time enjoying the experience.

How is your summer training going?   Your favorite workout?  What kind of summer mileage do you run?

My summer training went very well and had a blast at all the camps I went to. Mileage? Enough:)

How long have you been running and how did you get started:

I have been running since the 7th grade and I started because I didn’t make the basketball team so I figured I would try running. I am glad I didn’t make the team or else I would not be where I am today.

Will you be competing out of State this season?  If so, when and where?

I will be racing out of state. I plan on competing in the Footlocker race in California.

What are your favorite courses and the toughest courses to run in State and out of State.

Twilight is THE best race ever! The environment and the competition is what makes that race. Plus I always PR there, so I always look forward to competing. The state course is super fun as well. Knowing that you are racing for the title always makes it exciting for me. Doug Conley is brutal and is the hardest race in state for me.

So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?

This is a hard one… well, actually it is really easy!! Winning the state title last year is definitely the highlight of my high school career. Words cannot describe the feelings felt right after I finished and my teammate David Graham looked backed and told me, “Logan, I see all of our guys in the chute!” From that point I knew we had done something amazing. Hearing them announce that Highland High School had won the 5A State Title made me feel so accomplished. It still brings us all goosebumps when we talk about it.

When you are not running what do you like to do?

I enjoy hanging out with friends, playing sports, and eating cookie dough.

Do you cross train (lift, swim, bike etc)?

Other than pokemon training, no.

Do you think you would like to run competitively after high school?

If my career in table tennis doesn’t take off I guess I’d give it a try.

What were your favorite Olympic sports and did they inspire you in any way?

Watching  Zhang tear it up in the mens singles ping pong really took my training to a whole new level.
