This season Jacob Lewis (Sr.) became the Boulder Creek school record holder for all three individual distance events culminating with a fantastic double on Wednesday of the AIA Track and Field State Championships. Jacob was the first miler this season to break the 4:20 barrier, beginning with a 4:18.26 victory at the Brophy AMDG Invitational. We caught up with Jacob for a tough set of 400m repeats in the April heat of Arizona, a week before his victory at the Deer Valley District Championships where he doubled with victories in the 1600m (4:15.45) and in the 800m (1:56.74).
