McClintock junior Avaunt Ortiz in the Division II 400m at the 2022 AIA State Track & Field Championships at Mesa Community College in Mesa. Ortiz was one of the best 400m runners in the nation, with his time of 46.69 ending the season tied for No. 15 in the United States.
