Gibby won the race in a time of 16:16.94, just edging out Red Mountain junior Matthew Hamilton, who came in second at 16:18.59. Hamilton has been the top challenger to Gibby this season as both have finished 1-2 in their two respective races. Gibby is No. 1 in the MileSplit Arizona Division I rankings with his time of 15:43.20 in the 5,000 meters.
