Desert Vista junior Roan Martinez (first, left) and Valley Vista senior Blaise Nelson (third, left) in the elite 200m at the Chandler Rotary Invitational at Chandler High School on March 26. Entering the AIA Division I State Championships this week, Martinez and Nelson are both two of the top sprinters in Arizona. Martinez is ranked No. 1 in both the 200m at 21.35 and the 400m at 47.50. Nelson is No. 1 in the 100m at 10.49 and No. 2 in the 200m at 21.52.
