Mingus Union senior Cesar Diaz, then a junior, at the 2021 AIA Cross Country State Championships at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix. Diaz won the Division III state championship last year. His 5,000-meter time of 15:28.85 comes in as the fastest mark of all returning athletes for the 2022 cross country season.
