PEORIA INVITATIONAL TRACK MEET

Friday April 16th, 2021

Attention: Track Coaches/Athletic Directors:

 

We are pleased to welcome you as a participant in our

upcoming Peoria Invitational Track Meet at Peoria High School scheduled for April

16th, 2021. Please make note of the following:

  Athletes should be dropped off in front of the stadium (on the west side of the campus along Varney Rd.) Buses should park in the East lot after campus has cleared for the school day (2:40).

 

      Field Events will begin at 2:30 PM.

 

         Weigh-in Times start at 1:30 PM and all

implements must be weighed in before 2:00 PM.

 

         NO

PRELIMS IN RUNNING EVENTS

 

         The Coaches Meeting will be at 2:00 PM in the breezeway

located just off the start line of the track. The slower heat (if necessary) of

the 3200 will be run at 2:00 PM. The traditional track schedule will begin at 3:00

PM.

 

        

We will designate areas in both sets of bleachers for team camps. Masks must be

worn while in team camps and while not participating in an event. We will have

         There is no entry fee for the event. Instead, we

have asked each school to work one of the field events. I will send an email

prior to the meet detailing which events you will cover.

will find information for the Peoria Invitational Track Meet.

 

Please submit your entrees on azmilesplit.com no later than 9:00 PM Wednesday,

April 14th

Reminders:

 

1.            Since there are no prelims in this

meet, all entries must be official.

2.            Each

school will bring their own throws implements and use only their own

implements.

 

Number of Entries Per School:

Each school

will be allowed three (3) entries in each individual event.Each school will be allowed one entry in each

of the relays.

 

Entry Fee:

         There is no entry fee for the event. Instead, we

have asked each school to work one of the field events. I will send an email

prior to the meet detailing which events you will cover.

 

Awards:

We are not

doing medals or team trophies for this event.

 

Admission:

We will allow two parents/relatives per athlete.  No admission charge.

The event will be streamed on the Peoria

Sports Broadcasting Network.

 

Scoring:

Top six (6) places will score. Scoring will be 10-8-6-4-2-1

 

Track

Facilities:

The track is a

400 meter all weather surface track.Soft-soled shoes with " spikes or less are required.

 

Shot

Put and Discus:

 Implements will be weighed by the visitors

concession stand.Top 8 throws make

finals.

Pole

Vault, High, Jump, Long Jump, and Triple Jump:

The runways

for long jump, triple jump, high jump, and pole vault are all weather surfaces,

therefore, all jumping events will require soft-soled shoes or track shoes with

" spikes or less.Preliminaries and

finals of the long and triple jump will be open pit with priority assigned. Boys

will jump in the pit at the West end of the stadium (near the pole vault).Girls will jump in the pit at the East end of

the stadium (near the high jump).Top 8

jumps make finals.

Qualifying

Meet:

The Peoria

Invitational will be a certified meet for Division I, Division II, Division III

and Division IV State Meets.
